The CES is the biggest electronics show of the year. All the major players in technology from cell phones to television to even kitchen appliances are featured for all to see. The show kicked off with a pre-show keynote by Microsoft, followed by a key-note from Verizon the morning after.
There were lots to check out , including blackberry who is pretty much ready to launch the PlayBook tablet to Samsung, and their many flavors of galaxy phones (coming to sprint and verizon) and media players (not yet released).
Intel has a 2nd generation ICore chip that it is launching, the Sandy bridge which combines the GPU and the CPU on the same core allowing for lossless video frame rates on LAPTOPS (yes laptops!) you can run need for speed on a regular laptop and not skip a beat ( I can’t wait ).
It was hard to check out the whole show in one day. However, h ere are some things to check for this year that were featured at the show.
Samsung Galaxy Tab
Samsung is making a pretty big splash with their android based products. The Tab is available for purchase now on the carrier of your choice. Also the galaxy media player is another product that you should keep an eye out for as an alternative to the ipod touch. ( I like it )
Blackberry PlayBook.

Rims Playbook is pretty much the only thing that was on display from R.I.M at the CES this year I can’t really say I am excited about it but the R.I.M’s OS is one of the most stable systems in the industry. A tablet with a mix of RIMs new enhancements and the shot of no downtime is something to look for.
Non Glasses 3D from LG
The Motorola Xoom

Motorola has the most promising tablet thus far and its in the running the Ipad killer. Although it is very possible to disappoint let me run down why its in the running to kill the Ipad. 4G access (THAT’S RIGHT!!) not just fast but faster even. The Xoom is the 1st tablet that would be able to access the 4G network of Verizon (can you hear me now ? GOOOOD). The xoom is by all means a step above the rest boasting back and front cameras (for face time) Dual core processor and Android 3.0 (honeycomb) definitely on my list of new toys.
LG Optimus 2x

The LG Optimus 2x will be the 1st smart phone with a dual core processor so its pretty wicked awesome (for a phone). it has dual cameras (front and back) for face time activity and it will be release with Android 2.3 Ginberbread. The phone is due out this month Also, look out the the LG LTE android 2.2 upgradable to 2.3 , 16 gigs of storage upgradable to 32 gigabytes (GOSH) and the lte is out now.
Acer Iconia

Acers Iconia with its dual screen laptop definitly produced the ahhhss and ohhhs at microsofts keynote. armed with an I Core 5 processor, 4 Gigs of memory and a 750 Hard drive, and no real release date. Acer give people something to look for in 2011.
Samsung Series 7 Tablet

Another shocker at the microsoft keynote and CES is the samsung series 7 tablet. Powered by an intel atom processor this piece of wonderment and amazement features a sliding screen that transforms a would be net book in to a tablet. While samsung didn’t drop a release for this i doubt they wont release this gem.
Logitech Revue

Logitech droves of people (present company included) running around the CES on a Easter egg hunt for a free revue which feature the Google TV feature.
This nifty product is currently available with a retail of about $300.00 and I’m pretty much on deck for one my self. The revue does a very good job of combining live television and the internet all in your face on your television.
the revue also features the Intel sandybridge processor that runs the gpu on the cpu core… pretty sweet.
Microsoft’s Kinect for the 360

If you was at the CES and didn’t see or hear anything about Microsofts Kinect for the XBOX you probably was at that OTHER convention *wink wink*
I actually have to give props to Microsoft for its answer to the nintendo Wii
It provides the extra umph that is needed for all around fun experience. I just want to add that with a microsoft live subscription you get access to the ESPN network and live sport games via the 360 ( something for all the sport fans out there). I dont want to leave this out the avatar for the xbox. The virtual you in the xbox world.

Avatar Steve Balmer
The avatar feature is pretty cool I predict alot of people hosting and broadcasting virtual shows through the Xbox 360 for fun.
I hope this small list of cool products to look forward to for the year of 2011 is good enough to get your throat (and pockets) wet for the moment. There was so much more at the show that cant be fit into one posting (unfortunately).
