The Ex Files: the Addiction, Boring Girl, and the Youngin’
So someone requested I share some stories so here it is! The Ex Files. NOTE: I am in a happy healthy relationship with someone that is NOT the character in the Ex Files single but these stories might strike a key w/ others. Blogging was therapy at the time, so enjoy!
The Addiction
The addiction and I hung out for the first time in about 2 months. We had brunch (a rain check from a month ago) and caught up: joked, laughed, and made fun of each other. We talked about what we were doing for the holidays and how our extracurricular activities are doing. She even came over and just chilled; it was enjoyable.
She slipped in a ”so where’s your gf” line.
To which I promptly replied, “girls are retarded”.
And she said “oh we’re STILL retarded?”
“damn straight” -me
[insert sly smile] – her
the best (and worst part) was at the end:
“awight,see you later”-me
[insert sly smile that says, no you won't]-her
“what? whats that smile for?”-half laughing but also curious-me
“lol, nothing, see you later”-her
(the ongoing joke is that it is never soon later but more like 1 month or 3 weeks or 2 weeks later. partly her fault and partly my fault.)
As I walked away, I found myself smiling, laughing, and even giggling to myself. Damn addiction..i guess I haven’t kicked the habit

Boring Girl
Note to self: when someone asks you to come over to “watch a movie” make sure it is a brainless, comedy (read: zoolander), NOT a sarcastic take on love and relationships (read: high fidelity) that you actually WANT to watch. Boring girl wanted to hang out, make out, and get naked. Sure, why not. That was fun. But after having witty banter and sarcasticshenanigans w/ the addiction, this was really wham, bam, thank you ma’am.

The Youngin’
Having a conversation w/ someone a lil less than 10 years younger than you is hilarious. 1. because you wonder if you were ever that dumb. 2. you realize, maybe not THAT naive but definitely not as smart/jaded/indifferent/apathetic as you are now 3. ignorance is bliss, for now. it was still interesting. super unsure but super headstrong and determined to rush to their uncertainty. almost refreshing, almost
mood: old aka reality reminder
LOL… This hits to close to home. All I have to say is out of all three, none of them are ever the right one. Just don’t get caught up, and get attached (attached works on multiple levels). In the end there all “Get me By’s”
