How to pave the road “down south” with sugar – Wellness Wednesday

September 26, 2012 Health, Lifestyle, Love No Comments

This week’s “Wellness Wednesday” has a bit a of a Tasty Tuesday feel. This one is for the ladies, but the results are geared towards both men and women. We all know sex is a natural part of human nature, I’m not getting into semantics about abstinence, etc; the point is that one way or another, we’re all gonna “do it”. So…ladies, why not make it more pleasurable for you honey. How does this relate to “Wellness Wednesday” you ask? Well, most ladies often wonder why their lover won’t “taste their nectar”. Ever thought that maybe your “nectar” doesn’t taste like one? Don’t get offended, just hear me out. I have a solution…change your diet.  Yes, it’s that simple. Changing your diet, will make your peach…well…more peachy. Here’s some foods that you can eat that will increase the sweetness of your “honey pot”:

  1. Cinnamon - it masks and neutralizes the taste
  2. Celery – reduces the bittnerness
  3. Fruits - pineapples, melons, mangoes, and cherries all add some sugar in the right tank
  4. Wheat grass – always avoided that shot of wheat grass in your smoothie? Adding that shot, reduces the chemical toxins in your body that are often found in food

Here are some foods you should “avoid” or reduce the amount of:

  1. Spices – we love to season our food but don’t go overboard. Some spices can make your body secrete that same scent…no bueno
  2. Salt – you should be reducing the amount of salt anyhow to avoid hypertension, but this should add a bit more incentive
  3. Coffee – guess that Venti latte from Starbucks isn’t really worth the $5 now is it?
  4. Alcohol - yes ladies and gents, too much alcohol can leave a sour “after taste” in your mouth.  Reduce your consumption.
  5. Meats & fried foods – I know your love your grandmama’s fried chicken, but her chicken don’t keep you warm at night. Beef and pork leaves a salty taste on your sweet peach. Who wants a salty peach!?
  6. Garlic and onions – although both have natural healing properties, it’s best to reduce your consumption. Balance is everything.

Best advice in all of this is to increase your water intake. Water is the most natural way to cleanse your body of the toxins it acquires throughout the day. It’s a high contributor to weight loss, reduction of aging skin, energy, and overall physical and mental wellness. So the next time you’re planning that special night with your honey, try incorporating some fruits into your diet that week. I’m sure he’ll see the difference.
