Spring’s Sexiest Makeup
It’s sexy time! I mean it is spring time as well, but this year, it is going to be a Sexy Spring time!
Whoo-hoo!
How do you like the sound of that? I am super excited for two main reasons, really three reasons, but I will share only two of them with you right now: 1) I strongly feel that “sexy” makeup is only encouraged for V-Day and other special occasions and never for an entire season (and this needs to stop), and 2) sexy makeup brings out the “sexy” in us and elevates our confidence from level 10 to off the charts (which is never a bad thing in my book).
I had the honor of working backstage last September for New York Fashion week’s Spring 2012 shows, so I have known about this spring’s makeup trends for quite some time, and as a result have been squirming in my pants anxiously waiting for winter to hurry up already so we can get to the fun stuff. So, here we are.
This spring we are going seductive, hot, sultry, heavenly…you get the point, right?
Without further delay, I reveal to you Spring’s Sexiest Makeup:
1. Your Skin/Foundation should be a clean, dewy palette with strategically placed hints of shine (highlighter) on your brow bone and the bridge of your nose.
2. Take your Brows to the extreme and make them large, well-defined and groomed. Think Audrey Hepburn here – no more thin brows!
3. Keep your Eyes soft with sheer pastel colors, but mix up your textures using metallic, sparkling or glossy shadows. For eyeliner, go back to the 60’s with a winged-eye a.k.a. the cat-eye and don’t be afraid to go heavy on the liner.
4. Sun-kiss your Cheeks with bronzer or blush that is very close to your natural flush. Keep the application light as we will layer on more for our summer makeup.
5. Give your Lips bold and matte colors with reds, burgundy, and pinks. The brighter the color, the better, so you can even try orange or any other bright and bold color you like.

WARNING – get ready to be stared at a whole lot more this spring as your gorgeousness and confidence will be at a new all-time high and very hard to ignore. But, what the hell? Sexy is the motto and everybody else will just have to live with it.
