It’s about what you got.

The ‘have not’s’ don’t matter.

You are bound to get stuck in the bottom of a pitfall.

The things you see as a hindrance may be a sign for starting over — don’t ignore it.

The road to victory is close and your opportunity to shine awaits you.

I know too well about the sudden clouds that peek through the window; it’s a good thing I always have a my pocket full of sunshine.

This is only a test; you are passing with flying colors.

Ready For the Kill: Tasty Tuesday

September 28, 2010 Love, Tasty Tuesdays 1 Comment

Article written by VaughnySweet

Motions of up and down, back and forth movement become patterns that send my mind adrift. Adorning his beautiful fallace with spread eagle, I slide closer to increase the intensity. You’d think I choreographed the moves the way I perform them with ease. Teeth clenching, hands gripping, we lock eyes, as his hand grasping my hips assist in us moving in a medium-like pace. Expletives in ecstasy reign throughout his lofty apartment.

I slow-up some, hoping not to break the chair but his grip is so strong it feels like I’m floating. Grabbing his shoulders I lean back positioning myself for his and my ultimate “O”. I manage to move my opposite leg atop his shoulder with ease, gym class has done me some justice. I slide further in, knowing my sugar walls may reach its capacity, but I must have it. Lightly bouncing me as I use my thigh muscles, I’m light as a feather.

Realizing my new position he slides in more, bending me backwards. Before I knew it both legs were on his shoulders and I was airborne. Operatic sounds graced the walls as his thrust grew harder. Pouncing, bouncing, griping, the beast had awaken and it was ready to kill it’s prey. Beatin’ it like a drum, slaps of our skin add a melody with the tune. Feeling the rush of the waterfalls, he slowly but quickly flips me, backside up, and licks my labia like a lollipop. My thighs grip he neck as I savor all of his manhood parallel to me.

The rush is closer, my thighs grip tighter, I try not to bite his precious jewels so I yield my tongue to my hands, circling my tongue around the tip. He has arrived and I soon…come.

Ten Tasty, Healthy Breakfast Ideas!!!

September 28, 2010 Health 13 Comments

You get up in the morning, you rush to get ready for work, you rush out the door without a breakfast.

Perhaps you grab a bagel and cream cheese, perhaps a muffin, perhaps an Egg McMuffin. If you’re lucky, you get a pastry, a hearty breakfast of pancakes and sausage and eggs, or an English fry-up.

Unfortunately, when it comes to being healthy, none of these options is a great way to start your day.

Several readers asked about healthy breakfast ideas, and in truth, it’s a dilemma that many of us face each day. Either we don’t have time for breakfast, or we don’t have many healthy options.

The first problem is a problem, because it means that you start the day with an empty stomach. That means that by the time you are getting into the swing of work, your blood-sugar levels are dangerously low. The result: you need an instant sugar fix, which usually means a donut or pastry or some other unhealthy choice.

The second problem is also a real problem, because traditional breakfasts don’t usually come in healthy flavors. Here are the options that most people think of as breakfast:

Too sugary or carb-filled. Pancakes, waffles, toast, donuts, pastries, scones, bagels, pies, sugar cereals, breakfast bars, muffins (which, let’s face it, are usually just cake). I’m not anti-carb, but the problem with many breakfasts is that they are low in fat and protein, and nothing but empty carb calories.

This starts your day with a high blood-sugar level, which your body will quickly adjust for and drop, and you’ll be on a roller-coaster blood-sugar ride all day.
Too fatty. Fried eggs, sausages, bacon, cream cheese on your bagels, cheesy omelets, Egg McMuffins, Sausage McMuffins, hash browns, anything English or Scottish.

What does that leave us with? Actually, there are a lot of options.

The 10 below are just a few ideas, but I’m sure you can think of many more.

Look for protein without too much saturated fat. Look for whole-grain carbs. Look for low-fat dairy or soy options. Look for fiber and nutrients.
But how do you find the time? You make the time. Get up 15 minutes earlier. Pack something to eat on the road or when you first get to work. Prepare it the night before if necessary. I recommend the first option — waking a little earlier — as it’s nice to be able to have a nice cup of tea or coffee with your breakfast, relaxing before the rush of the day starts.

Oatmeal, flaxseed, blueberries & almonds. To me, this is the perfect breakfast. Steel-cut oatmeal is probably the healthier choice, but if you are in a hurry, the instant kind will do fine (it doesn’t have as much fiber, but the other ingredients make up for that). After microwaving the oatmeal, add ground flaxseed, frozen blueberries, sliced almonds.

You can add a little cinnamon and honey (not a lot) if you’re using the non-instant oatmeal. That’s four power foods, full of fiber and nutrients and protein and good fats, with only a couple of minutes of prep time. And very tasty!

Kashi Golean Crunch. Actually, any whole-grain, high-fiber cereal is a good choice, but I mention this particular one because it’s a favorite of mine. It has a high amount of protein and fiber, low sugar. Add low-fat milk or soy milk (which has 1/3 the saturated fat of 1% milk), perhaps some berries if you like.
Scrambled tofu. Healthier than scrambled eggs.

Add some onions, green peppers or other veggies, some light soy sauce or tamari, maybe some garlic powder, and black pepper, stir-fry with a little olive oil. Eat with whole-grain toast. Fast and delicious.

Fresh berries, yogurt, granola. Get low-fat yogurt (not non-fat, as it often has too much sugar) or soy yogurt, cut up some berries or other fruits, add some healthy cereal. I actually use the Kashi Golean Crunch instead of granola, as many brands of granola have way too much fat and/or sugar.

Grapefruit with whole-wheat toast & almond butter. Add a little sugar on top of the grapefruit, and it’s actually pretty good. The almond butter is healthier than peanut-butter, with lots of good protein to fill you up.

Fresh fruit salad. Cut up some apples, melons, berries, oranges, pears, bananas, grapes … any or all or whatever your favorite fruits are. Add a little bit of lime or lemon juice. Perfect.
Protein shake with extras. I use soy protein powder, but whey works well too. Blend up with low-fat milk or soy milk, some frozen blueberries, and perhaps some almond butter or oatmeal.

That may sound weird, but it’s actually pretty good, and pretty filling. A little ground flax seed works well too.
Eggs with peppers. I’m not a fan of eggs, but many people love them. Egg whites are healthier than whole eggs. Scramble with a little olive oil, red and green bell peppers, maybe broccoli, onions, black pepper. Goes well with whole-wheat toast.

Cottage cheese and fruit. Get low-fat cottage cheese. Add any kind of fruit. Apples, citrus, berries.
Gibb’s muffins & jam. While most muffins you buy at a coffee shop or grocery store are just empty carbs with lots of fat (basically, cake), this is a delicious recipe with lots of fiber and nutrition. (Note: the recipe in the link doesn’t mention it, but it’s actually a recipe from Simplify Your Life by Elaine St. James — it’s her husband Gibbs’ recipe). Bake them the night before, and they’re perfect in the morning (and for days to come). A little honey or jam makes them perfect.

The Biggest Teases in Sports Today

September 27, 2010 Sports 2 Comments

There are some folks who just have “it” and there are others who simply don’t.

Fellas, you all remember that one woman in particular, fine just isn’t a great enough word to describe how good looking she is. Seems to always be genuinely interested in you, but just aloof enough for you to think that you don’t really have a chance. She leads you on making you think you are THE one, then she acts the same way with 3-4 other guys. You make a move on her like only a true man would, not waiting on the sidelines, and you might get to first base even…but, no score.

There are athletes that I watch on a consistent basis that tend to make me feel this way as well. They have the talent to make all the plays that only an elite athlete can. You watch them on the field of battle and it seems like that they can do it all, except for one small problem…they can’t.

Jay Cutler and Tony Romo

Watching the highlights of the Bears vs. Cowboys game this past Sunday, I gave Kenny a call and chopped it up with him about the game. I did this with the slight intention of seeing how upset he was after his Cowboys lost again, and he was upset. However, the first thing the man said was, “Why doesn’t Jay Cutler play like that all the time?”

Good question, why doesn’t Cutler play like that all the time? Cutler’s got all the tools to be an elite QB, but man…it seems like for 3-4 plays during a game the man loses his mind like the fine woman I described earlier walked across the 50-yard line while Devin Hester was running a button hook. Cutler’s been doing it to us since ’06, and his play over the last two games just continues to make us say, “Why doesn’t he do this all the time?”

Romo is a slightly different case, he came literally from nowhere (Eastern Illinois) and was a diamond in the rough. The problem, some would say, is that he went to the Dallas Cowboys. He’s considered the golden child and was anointed as such as soon as he was able to make an impact on the football field. Let me be the first to say it, about 90% of fans of other football teams would LOVE to have Romo as our quarterback. However, I don’t know how good Romo truly is. The expectation of the Dallas Cowboys is to be America’s Team and to win titles. Romo’s doing the best he can, and I don’t know if its good enough.

Andy Roddick

Have you ever heard someone who’s received more acclaim and really hasn’t done anything of significance since winning the U.S. Open in 2003. (When he beat Juan Carlos Ferrero, by the way. Not Federer or a Nadal who wasn’t in his prime yet.) He’s got one of the best serves known to man and when you see him on the court it just seems that he should be in the elite. He’s just not, he’s not that good. The worst thing that ever happened to him WAS winning the U.S. Open in ’03, because it jaded every American sports mind to think that he could do it again, he just can’t.

Carlos Beltran

Look, this will be one of the few times I’ll ever openly talk down on one of my Puerto-Rican brothers, but it has to be done. Carlos Beltran is one of the most gifted outfielders I’ve ever seen play the game of baseball, but for the love of God I’ve never seen a man seem so lethargic in my life. Moreover, I’ve never seen a man made of paper mache, pixie sticks, balsam wood, cray paper, hot velveeta, and anything else that’s fragile, frail, feathery, and flimsy. The man is a ski-mask all-star if I’ve ever seen one (dude is the 5th highest paid player in baseball making $19.2 million in 2010) and every time it seems like he’s finally back, his knees break apart like some child hitting a pinata.

Rasheed Wallace

There’s never been a player more loved for more purely random reasons than ‘Sheed. Me included. Kenny and I love ‘Sheed, that’s our dude. The man got a championship wrestling belt made when the Pistons won their championship in 2004, that alone was enough for me. Plus, have you ever heard the ways his teammates speak of him? Its unreal.

Moreover, I’ve never seen a power forward outside of Tim Duncan…naw, I won’t even say that, I’ve never seen a more talented power forward than Rasheed Wallace in my entire life. The man can do literally anything on the basketball court. Hold down the block, rebound, shoot, pass, etc. Only one problem, the man had no desire to be a lead dog and prove himself on a day-to-day basis. ‘Sheed was insanely content on leaning back and playing in “his” role, which was a role no one wanted him to have. Eventually, teams stopped forcing him to be that guy and let him be him, but to this day when ‘Sheed has put his mind to it, no one’s been better, and that’s why he was the biggest damn tease I’ve ever seen in my life.
