SWEAT: A Campaign for Your Wellness
Although I’d like to start this out with some funky attention-getter, would it really make a difference? Probably not.
This week GRAE celebrates two years of producing one of the hottest dance parties in the New York nightlife scene. It’s quite a joyous occasion; however, we’re a bit disappointed. Why you ask? Well, although SWEAT has endured a great run thus far, we still haven’t seen you there. Yes…YOU! When’s the last time you’ve been to a SWEAT event? Have you taken the classes? Did you even know SWEAT had classes…outside the wellness hour?
And this is where our disappointment lies. Don’t get me wrong, we appreciate you coming out in the latest fashions to our signature events: Mean Shoe Game, NYE, and even love your creativity during Masquerade Ball but those events – although very “GRAE-esque” – won’t save your life.
It’s 2012. I’m sure you’ve made resolutions like you did last year, and the year prior, but how successful where you? I’ll wait… Now don’t get your drawls in a bunch, the aggression in my tone is not anger…it’s urgency. Your health is a matter of urgency and GRAE is trying to ensure you make it through the year and beyond. We’ve made it so easy for you to exercise…a dance party that you DON’T have to get all dressed up for, hell, come in your gym gear if you choose. The purpose is for you to SWEAT!
Yep you guessed it, this is where I insert my “charge”, a call to action if you will. Below are links to the 2year Anniversary event this Saturday January 28 at Tribeca Cinemas, and the second installment of SWEAT classes this Thursday January 26 at Ripley Grier Studios. Humor me…click on one or both of the links (stop acting like I’m pulling teeth here!).
This is FOR YOU! SWEAT was created for people like you and me who not only love to dance, but so that we can increase our life while we do it. So do yourself a rewarding favor…COME SWEAT WITH US! Your life will thank you now and later, simply because later will exist…
